Liberty

The only true form of freedom is no government at all, anarchy. But to have that happen you would need very special people, ones who don’t have the weaknesses that abound in humanity. If we could take away our selfishness, coveting, lust, and greed then we would be in a position to live in a state of ultimate freedom but sadly these espoused desires ,of becoming a perfect people, are unlikely to come about soon so and because of these inherit weaknesses of character, we need to implement some form of government.


The founders of this country were well studied men who looked at all forms of government and selected the best pieces from each in the effort of obtaining the greatest freedom without the overburdening confines of an oppressive government and to accomplish this they drew the confines around the government.

Freedom, in my opinion, is to live life any way you see fit as long as you act responsibly and accept the responsibility for your actions which include not interfering with the rights of another. Now many would confuse this with having a license to act dangerously, to inflict harm upon others with no recourse. In a free society, you can live dangerously, as long as that danger is confined to you and your property. You can live extravagant, meek, or flamboyant as long as you cause no quantifiable damage to another or their property. Freedom can only be bound by the actions of another man but those bindings are only viable only if you accept them.


Today, we live a contrived freedom where we are free to choose the options and actions that have been handed to us as “safe for society”. It is a far cry from what the founders had delivered to us more than a couple of centuries ago. None of them were perfect men but they understood the responsibility and accepted it. Why don’t we?


If we are to, once again, live as a truly free people then we must shed ourselves of the current version of our government and look toward the truth in self-reliance, civil disobedience, and get involved in our electoral process because everyone, whether you care about politics or not, is involved and being taken down the road of tyranny and oppression.


Personal Liberty

We have many protections written in the Bill of Rights which are supposed to protect our natural rights from an overreaching government. Sadly, these constraints have been cast aside by those who are typically identified as the progressives, neo-cons, conservatives, democrats, and the republicans all of whom are nothing more than the big government elite. Our own Senator John McCain considers himself a “progressive republican”. Isn’t that an oxymoron? He is a man who idolizes Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson who historically were two of the most regressive leaders elected in the United States when it comes to small government, states rights, and individual freedom. There is no surprise when McCain believes the fourth amendment gets in the way of the federal government who, in his beliefs, should have power over everything, limitless power to rule all aspects of society. To control by fear and force where liberty is what you are told, not what our creator gave us without any semblance of the constitutional republic the sons of liberty designed.


Speaking briefly on the fourth amendment; our founders were alive in a time when citizens were not afforded the right to be secure in anything and the actions of our current government would make them look like soft handed wimps. Though we are supposedly protected from such behavior, they spy on all aspects of our lives, travels, and personal behaviors. All they have to do is declare someone suspect, with no warrant or cause, and everything that is personal for the individual becomes a target for inspection. This is nothing but the new age of McCarthyism targeting anyone who speaks out against policy, under 1st amendment protection, where if one does this then they must be the enemy of the state so the government feels obligated, for everyone’s “safety”, that they must intrude and trample rights in the name of protection when in reality it is to protect the growth of government and to hide the fact that current policy is the problem not the answer. They use these tactics of overaggressive force and violence to install compliance through fear.


This falls right into line with public policies such as mandatory vaccinations, water fluoridation, and every other policy that has been mandated with little or no true science that shows them to be effective or safe and these policies stand even when there is evidence that the policies are damaging to people and/or the environment. What ever happened to the rule of precautionary principle? A simple mindset for the creation of laws that basically states, whenever dealing with any law that MAY present a hazard to people or the environment ALWAYS side with precaution and stand against such laws. Sadly, our current fascist government only enacts policies that benefit the bottom line of their benefactors with total disdain of the human and environmental consequences.

Though this extends to your right of ownership of your own body where we now have governmental agencies without warrant, conviction, or charge forcibly extracting bodily fluids in the name of “public safety”. As far as what a person does to their own body recreationally we will cover that in another document when I write about the war on drugs.

Societal Liberty

We have had our society sliced and diced into subsections just to maintain a division and without question as long as we remain divided true liberty will only be a dream always out of reach. It is common practice today for agencies, both public and private, to exaggerate differences between groups to enrage sections of society using the human weaknesses of jealousy, lust, self-interest, duty and greed. These are the tools that allow less than 1000 people to rules over 300,000,000. Here is an example of how the people could use passive resistance to stop government. If everyone collectively did not file taxes, an act of civil disobedience, the government could not enforce their abusive policy of theft against so many, they are too few. So it becomes obvious that their only strength is to pit one group against another to maintain the division. Create civil discord so they can swoop in to protect us from ourselves.


We have all these different groups of race, religion, or sexual orientation that push to obtain laws so they can obtain some false sense of protection from abuse when in reality it the very idea of making special laws that keep everyone separated is what drives the separation. Though the declaration of independence is not the law of the land it is stated plainly and rings of truth when it states,

”We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”


All men are created equal; nothing more needs to be said. Maybe we need that as a constitutional amendment which will bring an end to the division and have one law that fits everyone. The government is not required, nor authorized, to grant specific rights to specific groups. This kind of legislation does not fit within the structure and beliefs that define this country.


This leads to the government intervention in the institution of marriage and understanding that this whole idea came about to stop interracial unions. As a guise to preserve Judeo/Christian beliefs it has become an abuse of government to force a determination of whom you may choose to be your partner, a form of social engineering. The government has no place looking into your front door let alone your bedroom. A marriage is a personal commitment between two individuals that may include their family and, if desired, a religious institution which has nothing to do with government. Government was instituted for the protection of our rights not to dictate our lives. The only way they may become involved, from a local level, is for the financial sharing of property during life and after death.


State Liberty

The 10th Amendment states,

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

The entire idea of the structure of our government was to allow the states to act as independent units loosely bound in the union known as the united states. This was to allow for state independence, genuinely embracing freedom and the free market allowing for a truly diverse country. The founders were aware of the dangers of centralization of power and designed a system that forced independence of each state.


Though most aren’t aware of it and even deny it we are living in a very oppressive time yet the states can still push back against all the federal intrusion through nullification, creating their own laws mirroring the federal ones but defining different outcomes or by flat out stating this new law is specifically written to ignore or nullify the federal one. States do not have to abide by federal mandates just as jury’s can nullify both state and federal mandates by choosing to oppose laws, which are typically victim free, by finding defendants not guilty.


Defense of Liberty

The stance of liberty starts and ends within the citizenry. It is not only everyone’s natural right to defend themselves but it their obligation so we can ensure the long-term standing of a free society. As I stated earlier, we do not have a perfect society so we must recognize that there are those would willing cause harm to others or their property and for these and an over-burdening government you must be willing and able to stand your ground. Every adult has the right to own and carry weapons but I abide to the fact that known violent felons and those with severe psychological disorders, for the safety of the common good, should not be allowed to purchase and carry firearms. The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed…enough said.
